Learners

We believe that all learners are unique and not a “one size fits all”. We believe that when learners are engaged with nurturing, caring and professionally trained teachers they have the ability to reach and exceed their own personal goals. We also value that each learner has a unique set of interests and we work collaboratively to engage with those interests genuinely as a way to build a trusting relationship.

Families

We assert that each of our families has a unique set of circumstances that require the assistance of professionals who are committed to supporting them during this new “normal”. We see the whole family as the expert and guide the family through our assessment to get to the core of their needs in order to maximize their own potential. We believe that our learners are successful because their family is committed to their growth throughout our process.

Social and Emotional Well Being

We recognize that right now, academics are not everyone’s priority, and that is okay. We believe that learners will only begin to see academic success once their social and emotional needs are not only met, but supported by professionals who are well trained and work hard to establish a trusting relationship. We recognize that it’s okay to take breaks, in fact, it’s necessary to take breaks along the way and we work with our families and learners to establish routines/procedures/strategies with this at the forefront of our approach.

Success

We affirm that success looks differently for each individual learner and family we work with. We work in tandem with our learners and their families to help define their own success through this process and provide guidance along the way to reach that goal. We assure that our learners and their families are supported through a variety of approaches to make sure that they feel successful by our support but more importantly that they feel cared for during this time.

Schools

We know that schools and educators are doing their very best during this time to provide as much support as possible. We also know that despite their best efforts there are still holes learners and families fall through. We believe that by working side by side with our learners and the support from their respective schools, we can ease the stress and tension around academics by facilitating a happy and healthy attitude towards learning by being the bridge that facilitates their connection to one another.
